With no access to the real world outside for several days (see below) it seems that no-one has been taking care of crypto prices in my absence.


The psychological battle is now centred on $40k rather than the more desirable $50k price point.


Occasional Series – Scary things do happen

In a press conference on 12th August 1986, Ronald Reagan famously said:


"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help. "


The sentiment of that statement has most certainly stood the test of time, but it has now been superseded.


On Thursday 14th April 2022 Head of Media, Janey de Nordwall, & I were in the last stages of a two day car journey to establish the first ever overseas office for Curious Cryptos Ltd.


Based in Ivy Cottage, Inverie, Knoydart, regular readers already know that with only 111 inhabitants Inverie is only accessible by boat and has no mobile signal. It does proudly boast the most remote pub (https://www.theoldforge.co.uk/) in the UK - which officially reopened on Friday night.


Sam and Matt, the local brewers in Inverie, created a special commemorative beer for the occasion – the Old Forge Revival. Lovely drop of ale it is.


But I digress.


During the journey up, just by chance, we bumped into Davey in the Aldi car park in Fort William. For those that do not know Davey, he is the internet and wireless supremo of the Knoydart peninsula.


He then uttered what are undoubtedly now the nine most terrifying words in the English language:


“There be no internet at Ivy Cottage for noo.”


Occasional Series – The CCC is now global

Clearly the internet at our first overseas office, Ivy Cottage, is now up and running. Davey is so good at his job that download speeds here are better than at CC Towers in Stoke Newington.


I know you are dying to ask – so this is the view from the office window:


That’s Loch Nevis out the front which as a sea Loch I have been told is home to Conger Eels as well as otters, dolphins, porpoises, seals, etc. Probably no whales nor mermaids.
