As crypto prices rise, so does the sophistication of scams. This one is particularly clever.
The scammers sent a perfectly written email (no deliberate spelling errors this time — they know Ledger users are the careful ones) claiming users must activate "Ledger Clear Sign" before a deadline or their funds would be at risk.
The key giveaway: any message expressing an urgent deadline threatening your funds is a scam. Ledger will never contact you with an ultimatum about activating a feature by a specific date or face losing your money. The social media links at the bottom of the email also did not work.
Anyone who connected their Ledger device to the linked site found their wallets emptied immediately.
